Whether you look at the relationships that people have or the things that people create, it brings so many questions to the table. Being able to capture things in a raw moment is the best way to see how someone feels. They don’t have time to put up a shield or put on a mask. You get to see what they truly are inside.
The most beautiful times are when you are not paying attention. Most of these times these moments go by unnoticed. I find myself searching for these moments when I am taking photos. What is most amazing to me are the times when I take that one extra photo and capture the raw emotion of my subjects. I have come to treasure these photographed moments the best. Even as a kid, I would look at something and see the beauty in it even when those around me wouldn’t.
What really got me interested in photography was seeing all of the contrasts in nature. Right after the California Fires came through in 2007 I saw all the charred trees and their bright green regrowth. It really amazed me how something small that a human did could cause so much damage and affect so many lives. I find myself drifting towards the type of photographs that deal with humanity and the affects of humans.
